Youth Ministry
Sundays
Middle School Bible Study in the Youth Lounge, 10:30 - 11:30am
Youth Group for MS and HS Students, 5:30 - 7:30pm
Every Sunday night our middle and high school youth meet for weekly Youth Group! A team of staff, volunteers and parents provide dinner for our youth. Then we play games, worship through music led by the youth band, share God Sightings, pray for each other, have a talk given by a leader, and split into age-appropriate small groups for discussion. It is a fun-filled night that is focused on GATHERING to love God, GROWING to know and follow Jesus, and GOING to make a difference in our world. All are welcome!
Wednesdays
Mid-Week Rendezvous After-School Program, 2:30 - 6:00pm
Every Wednesday afternoon a team of staff and volunteers pick up MS students from school and take them back to the church for snacks, games, homework help, Bible study and hang out time in the youth lounge. Occasionally we will take students on field trips to places like museums, the library, or outdoor recreational destinations within Teton County. Please register by emailing cyf@pcjh.org.
Special Events
June 2012 High School Mission Trip: Application deadline has passed!
The high school youth will be travelling to Hollywood, CA to work with the urban homeless. Students will come face to face with the issues of urban poverty in America and work with people who are already serving the homeless. We have received many applications and are currently in the process of creating our final team. The first team meeting will be Sunday, February 26th at 9:00AM.
30-Hour Famine Lock-In
12:00pm Friday, March 2nd to 6:00pm Saturday, March 3rd
We will fast for 30 hours while raising money and awareness for world hunger. The 30-Hour Famine is a World Vision program that engages teenagers about the issues of global poverty and how we can make a difference. The lock-in at PCJH will include lots of fun games, community service, bible study, worship and prayer. We will break our fast at a special communion service on Saturday at 6:00pm in the Chapel. We invite the rest of the congregation and parents to participate with us. We will also host a community screening of the film "58" on Friday night as a way to engage the Jackson community on the topic of world hunger.
